Operational reviews
We spend two weeks embedded with your team, observing workflows and collecting data from your existing systems. Week three is analysis: we compare your metrics against industry benchmarks for companies of similar size and sector. In week four, we present a prioritised action plan with estimated cost savings for each recommendation.
The deliverable is a written report (typically 25 to 40 pages) and a 90-minute presentation to your leadership team. We include a follow-up call at the 90-day mark to check progress.
- Process mapping and bottleneck identification
- Supplier and procurement cost analysis
- Staffing efficiency assessment
- Technology stack audit
Growth strategy
This is our most involved service. We start with a market sizing exercise: who are your potential customers, how many of them exist and what do they currently pay for alternatives? From there we build a financial model projecting revenue, costs and cash flow for three scenarios (conservative, base and optimistic) over a 36-month horizon.
We then draft a go-to-market plan covering pricing, channel selection, messaging and launch sequencing. The whole process runs eight to twelve weeks depending on data availability. You receive the model as a live spreadsheet you can update as conditions change.
- Competitive landscape analysis
- Customer segmentation and persona development
- Pricing sensitivity modelling
- Channel and partnership recommendations
- Launch timeline with milestones
Leadership coaching
Good strategy fails when the people executing it lack confidence or clarity. Our coaching programme pairs each participant with a senior consultant for monthly 90-minute sessions. Between sessions, the consultant shadows at least one team meeting and provides written notes on communication patterns, decision-making habits and delegation gaps.
The minimum commitment is six months. Most clients extend to twelve. We measure progress through 360-degree feedback surveys administered at the start, midpoint and end of the programme. Participants receive a personal development plan they own and can continue to use after the engagement ends.
- Monthly one-on-one coaching sessions
- Meeting observation with written feedback
- 360-degree surveys at three intervals
- Personal development plan
Financial planning and analysis
Many mid-sized companies outgrow their bookkeeper but are not yet ready for a full-time finance director. We fill that gap. Our analysts build monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts and variance reports so you always know where the money is going.
We also prepare board packs and investor-ready financial summaries if you are raising capital. Engagements typically run on a retained basis, with a fixed monthly fee agreed upfront. There are no surprise invoices.
- Monthly management accounts
- Rolling 13-week cash flow forecast
- Budget vs. actual variance reporting
- Board pack preparation
How an engagement works
We follow the same four-step process for every project. It keeps things predictable for you and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
Discovery call
A 30-minute video call where we learn about your business, your goals and the problem you want solved. No charge, no obligation.
Scoping document
Within five working days we send a written scope: what we will do, how long it will take, what it will cost and what you need to provide from your side.
Delivery
We do the work. You get weekly progress updates by email and a short call every fortnight to discuss findings and adjust direction if needed.
Handover and follow-up
We present the final deliverables, walk your team through the recommendations and schedule a follow-up check-in 90 days later.
Questions we hear often
It depends on scope. An operational review for a 50-person company typically runs between £8,000 and £14,000. Growth strategy projects range from £12,000 to £25,000. Leadership coaching is priced per participant per month. We always agree a fixed fee before work begins.
Yes, provided the startup has at least 12 months of trading history and a team of five or more. Earlier-stage founders often benefit more from mentorship programmes, and we are happy to recommend some if that is a better fit.
Most of our work is done remotely, with on-site visits for observation phases and final presentations. We have worked with clients across England, Scotland and Wales without any loss of quality. International engagements are possible but quoted separately.
Our strongest track record is in professional services, light manufacturing, SaaS and retail. That said, our methods are transferable. If your industry is outside these areas, we will tell you honestly during the discovery call whether we are the right fit.
We agree on two or three measurable outcomes at the start of every project. These might be cost reductions in pounds, time saved in hours per week, or revenue growth percentages. We track these metrics and report on them at the follow-up check-in.
